What she said
a celebration of female composers and songwriters, with a top group of musicians, due to tour in Spring 2021
I am a performer, composer, improvisor and educator. Since becoming a freelance musician, I've been performing professionally on saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, piano, accordion and all manner of keyboards - and also as a vocalist.
I'm based in the South West but regularly travel to perform all over the UK and beyond.... in recent times I have performed at Ronnie Scott's and Soho Pizza Express, a Serbian castle, the National Theatre, Glastonbury festival, a Polish amphitheatre, countless bars, clubs and stately homes.... plus every NYE at my brother's pub, always a favourite in the gig calendar!
I trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Leeds College of Music, where I gained an honours degree in Jazz Studies.
As a teacher, I teach saxophone, piano and theory privately and I have a post at Bristol Cathedral Choir School as a jazz and classical piano tutor. I have run choirs, led jazz bands and prepared students for graded exams Grades 1-8 and beyond, to diplomas, recitals and preparation for going on to conservatoires and music academies.
